This was, honest-to-god, a chant I heard at the 2003 demo against the Iraq War. You could feel the crowd handbrake-turning in real-time as they tried to reorient to the emcee’s pre-existing peccadilloes.
As many qualms as I have with the standard chants at Gazan solidarity demos these days, at least they usually keep on topic.
