Panel 1:
Si checks out the box some more as Nancy focuses on the game, studying, analysing.
NANCY: Back in the day there were tons of made-up stories on usenet about how the “popsicles” were supposed to be spliffs and the smoke bombs had actually been bongs in the Japanese version.
SI: Oh yeah, crazy, not like the “mind control code in CDs” stuff, no, that’s totally real, that.
Panel 2:
Some view. Si drops the box and stares at Nancy.
NANCY: Didn’t help that the game was buggy and terrible - it sank like a rock.
NANCY: My parents must’ve picked it up in a bargain bin, I don’t remember ever getting it.
SI (box): Nancy had parents?
Panel 3:
Nancy gesticulates at the screen - the game’s gone to demo mode.
NANCY: But what’s he doing here, in the East End?
SI: That DJ musta sampled his theme tune for that dubstep anthem everyone’s rockin’ out ta.
Panel 4:
Same view. Si stares gobsmacked at Nancy.
NANCY: Alright, I’ll bite, what is this “dubstep” thing everyone’s going on about?
SI (box): Is she for real?
SI: Are you for real?
NANCY: Been kinda busy keeping reality in one piece, no, I don’t know what dubstep is, enlighten me.
Panel 5 (narrow):
Flat view of Si and Nancy. Si is holding her hand high in excitement while Nancy ponders.
SI: Iss only the coolest thing ever! You take a tune that everyone loves…
Panel 6 (narrow):
Same view. Si plunges her hand as low as it can go.
SI: ...and then you d-d-d-DRAWP THE BASS!
Panel 7 (narrow):
Si holds her pose and looks up hopefully. Nancy is a tad sceptical.
NANCY: So this is what getting old feels like.
NANCY: I do my best to defend temporal causality but I really hate it sometimes.
