Chapter 3 – Page 005
I accidentally saved over the source file of page 4 to get you this update, so you’d better appreciate it.
Also happy new year! New year, new hideout for the duo. This one doesn’t have any video games but it’s got a put-me-up this time!
↓ Transcript
Panel 1 (wide):
Nancy is hunched over her Instrument inside her tube hideout, squatting in a disused utility cupboard. It’s not as fancy as the one above ground with fewer mod-cons, but it serves their purposes easy enough, there’s even a mattress this time. Si has barged in wielding the paper like a baton.
SI: They’re onto us!
NANCY: You were made?
SI: No, but they’re still onto us! You seen this?!
Panel 2:
Close-up of Nancy listening to the String while Si slaps the paper on the shelf next to her.
NANCY: Of course not.
NANCY: It’s a popular newspaper. You don’t need my rant that they’re manipulative tools of the Establishment, everybody’s already on the same page on that one.
Panel 3:
Si is having difficulty expressing the depths of her discomfort.
SI: We’re on the front page, Nancy! We’re famous!
INTERFACE: Word suggestion: “infamous”
SI: Infamous!
SI: The whole o’ London knows we’s down here!
Panel 4:
Same view. Si is apoplectic at Nancy’s nonchalance.
NANCY: This isn’t my first rodeo, Si. We’ll be gone soon and the Forces of Randomness will ensure that the populace’s attention will be turned to something else before the day is out.
NANCY: Now, did you get the readings or not?
SI: Auuuuuuggggggghhhhh…
Panel 5:
Si reads out the readings she’s jotted down while the paper piques Nancy’s interest.
SI: Marylebone - 22.7
SI: Elephant & Castle - 39.1
SI: Old Street - 32.4
Panel 6:
Closeup of the Staggers story about Crossrail delays.
SI: Like, I dun’t even know wot I’m measuring ‘ere.
SI: Celcius?
SI: Roentgen?
SI: Netflix views?
SI: Wot?
