Panel 1:
Nancy has walked up to the panel next to Iyawa, who’s still out of it.

NANCY: Look, I know this is a lot to take in, but as a professional defender of relativistic physics I’m telling you this service needs to get going! Now!

IYAWA: Go?!

IYAWA: Go where?!

IYAWA: My hippocampus?!

IYAWA: My superego?!

IYAWA: My repressed memories of getting face-dunked in the Lagos Lagoon by my sister?!

Panel 2:
Chambers pokes his head in, he’s a lot calmer than he should be given the circumstances. Nancy is confused, but Iyawa seems to have a glimmer of recognition.

CHAMBERS: It’s a Code 37, driver.

CHAMBERS: You know what to do.

IYAWA: Code…

IYAWA: ...37?

Panel 3:
Nancy watches Chambers leave as Iyawa laughs and collects herself, picking up the tannoy.

IYAWA: Ha ha…

IYAWA: Code 37!

IYAWA: Of course!

IYAWA: Evening, passengers, this is your driver speaking. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption to your service. This train is ready to depart, please do not obstruct the doors, and please do not interact with the...uh…”new arrivals.” A specialist will be moving through the cars to provide further advice.

Panel 4:
Si is still playing as the doors beep and close. Nancy follows Chambers out.

NANCY: Code 37?

CHAMBERS: “Emergency of an unspecified nature, expert aboard to provide assistance, continue as normal until instructed otherwise.”

CHAMBERS: This might be the weirdest thing I’ve ever come across, but it’s only a difference of degrees. This is the Tube after all.

Panel 5:
Si relaxes. The spectre has stabilised.

CHAMBERS: Anyway, best get cracking. You’re the “designated expert,” apparently, and there are a lot of scared people on this train.

CHAMBERS: The second you mess up, I am apprehending you with so much reasonable force your face will be numb for a week.

NANCY: Fair, fair…

Panel 6:
Exterior. The train hurtles through the darkness.

CHAMBERS (off-panel): Don’t suppose there’s much point asking where we’re going?

NANCY (off-panel): On the contrary, officer, that’s the best question you’ve asked all trip.
