Chapter 3 – Page 065
Fancy a Snickers, Lewis? You go a bit unhinged when you’re hungry.

Panel 1:
Chambers stands his ground to Russell’s clear consternation. The others grokk what’s going on fairly quickly.
CHAMBERS: I’m going to do no such thing! It’s thanks to her we’re still alive! I’d say we owe her one!
RUSSELL: Constable, we can’t forgo our legal obligations just because we “owe” somebody something!
RUSSELL: Especially when it pertains to certain individuals immediately within earshot!
Panel 2:
Nancy wraps an arm around Russell’s shoulders, making a conscious decision not to take Russell’s attempt to arrest her personally. Russell is absolutely not reciprocating.
NANCY: Hey.
NANCY: Hey.
NANCY: Hey.
NANCY: We’ve danced this dance before, haven’t we? Stuck in an aberrant quantum state, putting differences aside to work together, we’ve done that tons of times over the years!
Panel 3:
Same view. Russell swats Nancy off and Nancy respectfully retreats.
NANCY: And look, you even nabbed the baddy all by yourselves!
NANCY: I’m astonished, actually. I don’t think that’s ever happened before.
NANCY: You’re really coming together as a group, now. Maybe we should do this more often, instead of you lot trying to arrest me all the time?
Panel 4:
Nancy, arms outstretched, walks backward down the carriage. Russell doesn’t budge a muscle. Si is growing a bit concerned.
NANCY: I mean, you’re still an agent of an oligarchical collective determined to rob the human race of its rights and freedoms, but…
NANCY: ...y’know…
NANCY: ...nobody’s perfect.
Panel 5:
Closeup of Russell’s clenched fist. His knuckles are bleached white.
NANCY (off-panel): I realise you rolled in here planning to be the big damn hero and everything, but frankly…
NANCY (off-panel): ...we were on our way home already, we’d figured it out, we’ll be back in regular relativistic London in about half an hour, give or take.
NANCY (off-panel): So we don’t...really...need you...right now.
Panel 6:
Closeup of Si. Her guard is going up, she can sense something is very very wrong here.
NANCY (off-panel): So there’s nothing left to do ‘cept sit back, relax, put our feet up, and when we return we can go our separate ways till the next quantum crisis comes along, and nobody has to arrest anybody.
