Panel 1 (wide):
E-D is holding court with a headset on, hoisting his phone like a sceptre and whipping the crowd into a very comfortable middle-class frenzy.
E-D: We live in a world where at the touch of a button you can order food, clothes, office supplies, XBoxes, a taxi, a flight, anything!
E-D: We’ve never held such power in the palms of our hands! The whole universe, delivered direct to you!
E-D: Except, though…
E-D: It’s delivered to your front door, sure, by couriers, by post, by a whole infrastructure that expects you to be at their beck and call!
E-D: Chaining you! Restraining you!
E-D: Today I am proud to announce a revolution in how we define ourselves! No longer tied to where we live! Free to be where we are!
Panel 2:
E-D looks down at his phone. The entire crowd does likewise. He is hopped up with excitement.
E-D: You may have noticed when the doorman scanned you in, an app was installed on your phone!
E-D: As of seven seconds ago, that app is now live! Tonight, in this room only, you special people will get to experience having a locus everywhere on the move twenty-four hours before anyone else!
Panel 3:
Nancy looks down from above. The golem is stock still next to her.
E-D (off-panel): On your way to a meeting and really need a coffee? Forgot your anniversary and desperate for some flowers?
E-D (off-panel): GO! LEM will track your GPS co-ordinates and get you what you need, when you need it, where you need it.
Panel 4:
Same view. The golem stirs, rotating 180 degrees. Nancy perks up and notices.
E-D (off-panel): Don’t be shy! Try it out!
E-D (off-panel): You! Wanna get us champagne to mark the occasion?
PATRON (off-panel): Champagne?! How about tequila?!
E-D (off-panel): Press the magic button, it’s yours!
Panel 5:
The golem stretches an arm. It rapidly morphs into a bottle.
E-D (off-panel): And, uh, y’should probably brace yourself.
E-D (off-panel): It’d suck to get tequila all over the floor.
