Panel 1:
Carol has Lewis in a hair-grip, and meets his eyes for the first time. Lewis doesn’t give her the satisfaction of a struggle, he’s just mad.
CAROL: Everything we have done has been working towards this moment. When this city will finally be exorcised of the ghosts that haunt it.
CAROL: I will not allow the culmination of all our plans to be jeopardised by my collaborator suffering an existential crisis.
Panel 2:
Carol is impassive, swathed in shadow.
CAROL: You’re right, I made you.
CAROL: I can just as easily unmake you.
CAROL: And given the devolving tenor of debate surrounding you people in this country I wouldn’t even need to break kayfabe to do that.
CAROL: Capiche?
Panel 3:
Carol relinquishes her grip. The lift opens behind a furious Lewis.
CAROL: Your ride’s waiting. Wouldn’t want to keep you from your work.
CAROL: Unless you really want to push your luck?
Panel 4:
Same view. Lewis doesn’t budge a muscle. He just stares.
Panel 5:
Closeup of Lewis’s fist slamming the ground floor button in the lift.
Panel 6:
Lewis, head down in the lift, is paralysed with rage.
