C’mon, Carol, at least put down a pillow or something. Good posture can help smooth stiffness and sore joints.

Panel 1:
Pandora leaves the elevator into Carol’s office. Carol is laid up on a chair with a small table next to her, nursing a ringing headache with an ice bag and a glass of alka seltzer.
LEWIS: Oh, so now you deign to get some furniture in…
Panel 2:
Same view. Carol picks up the water glass as Sam swipes the table out from under it in a fit of extreme pique.
SAM: What the hell happened out there, Carol?!
CAROL: shshshshshhh…indoor voices, please…
Panel 3:
Carol pokes open an eyeball, in little mood for Sam’s rantings.
SAM: Gunfire!
SAM: In Whitehall!
SAM: Gunfire!
SAM: In Whitehall!
CAROL: I heard you the first time, Sam.
SAM: I have officers in the hospital! Sharing awkward space with blameless civilians who are also in the hospital!
Panel 4:
Carol calmly sips her fizzy drink while Sam is left to fester.
CAROL: Anyone dead?
SAM: Not for lack of trying!
CAROL: Then what’s the problem?
SAM: The problem is that a command was made to deploy lethal ammunition and it didn’t come from me!
Panel 5:
Carol eyeballs Sam. For her stinging headache she’s still sharp as a tack.
CAROL: Would it have been fine if it had?
SAM: Academic as I would never have given such an order!
CAROL: You all but did, Detective Wording.
Panel 6:
Sam does not enjoy his own words being rubbed in his face.
CAROL: “We must come down on them hard, and come down on them now, or next time they’ll be a hell of a lot more than a nuisance.”
CAROL: Your exact words, uttered on that exact spot.
CAROL: So don’t go getting precious that your men took those instructions literally. If you didn’t realise what they entailed then you’re a bigger damn fool than you’re making yourself look right now.
