Panel 1 (wide):
Carol steps forward with arms outstretched, hair flaring, while Lewis looks on with curiosity.

LEWIS: Hold up, if you hadn’t created me in a fit of panic, what would you have done?

CAROL: Recruited some flunky, probably.

CAROL: And some days I wish I had.

LEWIS: With your winning personality?

CAROL: Nine-tenths of charisma is acting like you’re the one in charge, detective. You know how hard it is to rope half of Year Seven into a UNICEF charity concert?

LEWIS: Right, right, you’ve been training since secondary school to be world empress, I get it.

LEWIS (box): ‘Revenge, yeah, obviously, but in all the ways that matter you already got revenge the moment you took over the city she was protecting.’

SI: She got inta this beef wif Chani once ‘bout a Demon Slayer plushie she borrowed and never gave back. Scored a weekend at a trade fair where she nabbed a collector’s plushie that ain’t even imported yet. Destroyed her psychomologically, and that were the end of it. She won.

Panel 4:
Nancy thrusts her antenna up to the heavens.

CAROL (box): ‘And I’m going to corner someone who can help me find it.’

NANCY (off-panel): And I’m going to find out what that is.
