About Me

Hi! You’ve reached the website of Ross Hopkins, writer, artist, formerly a long-time publishing worker who is now trying extremely hard to make a career out of this whole “creating” thing he’s been doing regularly on the side since he was a kid.

I grew up on the Isle of Wight, a Ruritanian old folks’ home masquerading as a county, which instilled in me the good old-fashioned values of escaping into fantasy and video games whenever possible. As an adult I absconded to That London, bewitched by the dazzling neon of the big city and have braved eye-wateringly high house prices to remain rooted in this crazy metropolis I am proud to call home.

I’m a firm believer in the notion that one’s works should speak for them (not least because I can’t write about myself to save my life), so I’ve done my best to produce works that explore all kinds of interesting ideas as well as make the reader giggle on occasion.

My masterwork is my webcomic “String”, which updates Tuesdays and Fridays.

I’ve also written a storybook for my niece Rosie, with the imaginative title “Rosie’s Journey”.

If anyone out there is intrigued enough by my art and fiction to get in touch, my details are below:
